Configuremyphone is now closed.

It is with regret we must announce that the configuremyphone service is now closed. This was effective from 31st March 2010 and will impact both the configuremyphone consumer service, as well as the API.

Since its launch, configuremyphone has grown to become available in several countries around the world. It has allowed many thousands of consumers to retrieve data settings for their mobile devices and allowed service providers such as yourself a means to send data settings to your customers at no cost to yourself.

Unfortunately, the Premium Rate SMS billing mechanism that we integrate with is being changed by our third-party billing provider. The changes being imposed on us by this partner require significant development time on our end and are not financially viable for us to complete. Therefore we have decided to close the service.

This has come as a great shock and is deeply disappointing.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support in configuremyphone.
